She’s a veteran of 32 years and a fitness model who is committed to helping her clients achieve the absolute healthiest version of themselves. She manages to achieve this promise by bringing her dynamic spirit to every session and guiding her clients through intelligent and creative approaches to exercise.

One of the secrets to her success is the way she transmits empowerment to clients, so they can fully realize their potential. She evaluates clients’ dietary habits and determines where improvements can be made.

More of Colleen’s Words:  The weight room has always provided a place for me to work out problems and stress, set new goals, and realize them so that I rebuild myself every time that I’ve had to reinvent myself.  It’s the only place I can go to feel stronger instantly   In my 32 years as a personal trainer, I watched women jump the hurdles of life–divorce, depression, loss, toxic relationships, and balancing family work and children–as well as self-esteem.

There’s nothing like re-inventing yourself, and there’s nothing like feeling awesome at any age. Finding time for much-needed self-care becomes difficult.  During this observation, I found my passion for training the over-40 female client.  Weight training has been my “go-to,” and, while there are no guarantees in life, there are massive personal gains with hard work and discipline in the weight room.

If there is one thing I know for sure, strength training has prepared me for those harder things, balanced me during times of stress, and strengthened me when I felt weak.  While there are tons of fads, fitness trends, and new diets, one steadfast rule that has carried me through these hard times is that, When Life Gets Hard, Train For It.
